Las Vegas, the City of Lights, is a popular destination in the US for several reasons. Whilst it boasts museums, art galleries and a range of resorts to enjoy, it is best known for the casinos on its world-renowned Strip, and beyond. Popularized in films such as The Hangover and Ocean’s Eleven, Las Vegas is instantly recognizable across media.
The Venetian & Palazzo resorts are among the famous casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. A scaled down copy of Venice, Italy, the Venetian follows the successful formula of Las Vegas: gambling, shopping, restaurants and some special attractions. Each Cirque du Soleil show is a combination of circus styles from around the world, with its own central theme and story line. The Wynn & Encore resorts in Las Vegas seems to be only for the rich. It definitely looks like it even if we only judge by the fact that the Wynn used to house Ferrari and Maserati dealers right inside the resort. However, the hotel lobby and casino don’t look very impressive from the inside. Maybe guest experience is out of this world if you stay there. Venetian is another European copy…scaled down a little obviously. Yes, it has the gondolas, with Italian singers and all…I’m still not sure if the songs are taped (they look and sound very real), but it is copied nevertheless. It’s ok though, ’cause you only drive a few hundred miles from Los Angeles and you get to see Venice…or something pretty close to it.
