The Venetian & Palazzo resorts are among the famous casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. A scaled down copy of Venice, Italy, the Venetian follows the successful formula of Las Vegas: gambling, shopping, restaurants and some special attractions. Each Cirque du Soleil show is a combination of circus styles from around the world, with its own central theme and story line. Shows use continuous live music, with performers rather than stagehands changing the props. We visited Las Vegas recently and we were determined to see a Cirque du Soleil show. We found that there were many shows in town but only one that was family oriented. Read on about my five reasons why I think Cirque du Soleil is unique.
On our recent trip to Vegas I noticed an ad for the 50 greatest photos in the long history of the National Geographic publication. Here is more about the amazing food in Las Vegas. I think the amount of famous chefs per square mile is by far the highest in Las Vegas than anywhere in the world. So, come along with me for a walking tour of the Las Vegas strip for first timers.
The Wynn & Encore resorts in Las Vegas seems to be only for the rich. It definitely looks like it even if we only judge by the fact that the Wynn used to house Ferrari and Maserati dealers right inside the resort. However, the hotel lobby and casino don’t look very impressive from the inside. Maybe guest experience is out of this world if you stay there. Come along with me as we explore a few interesting things to do at the Wynn Las Vegas.
Venetian is another European copy…scaled down a little obviously. Yes, it has the gondolas, with Italian singers and all…I’m still not sure if the songs are taped (they look and sound very real), but it is copied nevertheless. It’s ok though, ’cause you only drive a few hundred miles from Los Angeles and you get to see Venice…or something pretty close to it.
While not many attractions are inside, the Paris Las Vegas resort dazzles from the outside. With its scaled down versions of the most famous attractions in Paris France, this resort dominates the night sky on the Las Vegas strip. Exuding with European elegance inside, the Paris resort’s main attraction is its amazing food and fancy shops.
