4 Best Things to Do at Caesars Palace Las Vegas

Las Vegas, Nevada - Caesars Palace thumbnailCaesars Palace is synonymous with the Las Vegas strip, as it is one of the oldest resorts here. Built in 1966, Caesars Place has been updated and modernized over the years in order to keep up with the competition on the strip. Even though, not a very attractive destination for families, Caesars Palace has one major attraction that will get you fired up…if you like it. Come along with me as we explore some interesting things to do at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.

One of the older resorts on the Las Vegas strip, Caesars Palace was created to give guests a taste of the opulent society during the height of the Roman Empire. The resort is filled with Hollywood style statues and copies of famous places in Rome, Italy. But are there interesting things to do at Caesars Palace besides gambling? Come along with me as we explore a few fun things to do at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.

Take a tour of the Strip. If you want to take in the Las Vegas Strip in one fun-filled trip, then take the Las Vegas 3-Hour Night Tour by Open-Top Bus. This trip will give you a great introduction to the glamorous Las Vegas Strip with all the lights on at night.
Stay in Vegas. When we visit Las Vegas we usually stay at the Polo Towers right next to the strip. Their apartment rooms are a great value, especially for families. If you like a quieter place we've always enjoyed Cancun resort for their pool and kid friendly environment. Another budget friendly option is Park MGM  (great location and price). You can also find other budget hotels in Vegas.

1. High End Shopping

The main attraction at Caesars Palace is shopping. There are two areas for fine shopping: Appian Way and Shops at the Forum. Both areas feature beautiful shopping galleries. Yes, it is true that they are glorified shopping malls with expensive brands, but if you like shopping, you will love the Forum.

During the covid pandemic, the Reflection Pool which was found right at the entrance of the shops has been replaced with a coffee shop.

2. High End Dining

In addition to beautiful stores, the Shops at the Forum area features a few great restaurants as well, so you can spend a long time here.

You can find many refined restaurants inside Appian Way shopping area. Focused on Italian dining, Caesars Palace restaurants offer a beautiful dining experience.

3. Fire & Water Show

At the end of the shopping area there is a free water and fire show that lasts about 10 minutes. It is a very small and short entertainment show that is fully automated and happens every hour. This show is interesting, especially for small kids as it has lots of moving parts, smoke and lights.

Behind the area where the show is, you will also find a large circular aquarium with beautiful tropical fish. If you have small children, they will enjoy the aquarium as they will be able to see small sharks and very colorful tropical fish.

4. Enjoy the Art

Yes, everything at Caesars Place is copied, but it is also true that the builders copied everything that was famous about Roman art. From the famous Victoria of Samotrace copy from the Louvre Museum, to all  Fountain of Trevi in front of the Shops at the Forum, Caesars Palace can also be a place for art.

August 2022 update: It is also worth mentioning, that if you like art you must visit the Park West Gallery inside the Shops at the Forum. You will be very impressed by their large collection of works from Pablo Picasso, Salvatore Dali, Rembrandt and Renoir. Simply amazing to just walk in and see originals from these masters. Being able to see so much art is also one of the best things to see at Caesars Palace in Vegas.

Is it Worth Visiting Caesars Palace?

If you like shopping, then yes, this resort is for you. You can also enjoy a great lunch as you walk around beautifully laid out shopping areas. However, if you are looking for family friendly attractions in Vegas, this resort is not on the top of the list.
